Do You REALLY Know Your Why?
In my previous article on Achieving Awesome Authenticity in Your Business, I talked about understanding your real purpose and knowing WHY you are here on this earth.
I now want to ask you, “Why are you here in business? What is your purpose? What makes your heart sing when you reflect on your day’s work each night?”
These questions are tightly linked with your life’s purpose. And if you can’t answer them, you need to take some time out and ask yourself the following all important questions to help determine your “Why” in this business world.
Do You Know What Your Gifts Are?
We all have our own innate gifts. These are the gifts that make life easy for us. These are the things that you can do without thinking, and find so easy to do, that you wonder why you are even getting paid to do it. Make a list of all the things you love doing and what you find easy to do. Know your gifts, and more importantly, use your gifts.
When you operate outside of your gifts, you will find tasks difficult and time consuming. For me, the most difficult part in business is accounting. I understand this is not my innate gift, because it’s not an easy task for me and not one I enjoy doing. However, it is a task that is essential to business, for without the accounting side, I won’t be able to look after my finances and get paid!
For your business to be successful, you need to be using your gifts and outsourcing those tasks that you find too difficult. Give your gifts the time they truly deserve.
Does Your “WHY” Make You Cry?
I have a strong belief that if your ‘why’ makes you cry, then you are living and working your life’s purpose as you should be. You are following the real authentic you that you have inside.
You should be so passionate about your business and what you are meant to be doing here on earth, that when people ask you about your ‘why’ it should make you cry. Your passion should be so obvious that even if you don’t cry on the outside, people can see how moved you are on the inside.
What Brings up an Overwhelming Feeling in your Heart That Almost Chokes You at Times?
Does your purpose overwhelm you with emotion?
We are all born with something special deep within us. When you know what that special something is, you know what your ‘why’ is, and what your purpose for being here is.
When I talk to others about my ‘why’, I feel the emotion that comes up within me and understand it is my overwhelming passion and reason for being alive.
Find It, Know It and Become Your WHY
I want to share this post with yourself as well as other,s to give them the opportunities to achieve what they want to achieve in life.
By understanding and truthfully answering these questions, you will ultimately know if what you are doing is your real purpose in this life.
Find your ‘why’, know your ‘why’ and become your ‘why’.
